ATM THEFT SUSPECTS ARRESTED
CORONA, CA– On April 2, 2024, the Corona Police Department arrested two men in connection with a string of commercial burglaries involving ripping ATM machines out of businesses.
On February 20, 2024, two unknown subjects burglarized the El Super Market, located at 1220 Magnolia Ave., Corona. The suspects shattered the business’s window to gain access, tied a tow strap around the ATM machine, then used a Dodge pickup truck to drag the ATM through the front doors, causing extensive damage to the building. The Riverside Sheriff’s Department subsequently located the ATM, broken open and emptied of its contents, in Jurupa Valley.
Corona Detectives identified a possible suspect as Paul Kolacki, 35-years-old of Jurupa Valley. Our Detectives continued their work on the case and connected Kolacki to two separate homes in Riverside County. Detectives are investigating other potential crimes involving Kolacki.
On April 2, 2024, Detectives obtained search warrants for the two residences, in Colton and Jurupa Valley. Corona Police officers served both warrants and Kolacki, along with another suspect Shawn Doty (35-years-old of Riverside), were arrested for the burglary. Kolacki was also found to be in possession of an illegal assault rifle. Detectives also located the truck involved in the theft and other evidence linking them to the crimes.
