John has a distinguished career spanning nearly four decades in the painting industry. As a licensed California State painting contractor since August 8th, 1984, he holds a C-33 classification, specializing in painting and decorating. His journey began in 1976 at the age of seventeen, when he took on summer painting jobs. By 1984, he established his own painting company in Orange County, California, originally named J.J. Patterson Painting Company. A year later, he changed the company’s name to AAA Painting to secure a prime spot at the front of the Yellow Pages, which listed businesses alphabetically. In 1987, John relocated to the Inland Empire and has been providing painting services in Riverside and surrounding areas ever since.

John comes from a family with a rich heritage of contracting, with five other contractors among his relatives, including his son, Justin, who is also a licensed painting contractor. Growing up in a family of nine children, John’s father instilled in them the values of faith, morals, respect for others, and a strong work ethic. The principle of the Golden Rule—treating others as you would like to be treated—has been a guiding force in their work.
