Riverside County projects are going to achieve $44 million

Consolidated Appropriations Act funds $44.1 million for various infrastructure projects in Riverside County.

The funds are being used for wells, homeless housing, and other road rehabilitation projects.

Representative Ken Calvert stated in a statement, “Riverside County continues to be one of the fastest growing regions in the state and country, which is why we need additional resources to build long-overdue infrastructure projects for our residents.”

Calvert is requesting the following funds for the 41st District:

  • $5 million for the rail project in the Coachella Valley
  • $4 million for the Corona Multimodal Corridor Enhancement Project along Ontario Avenue and Interstate 15.
  • The Garbani Road/I-215 Interchange Project in Menifee will cost $2.2 million.
  • $673,872 for the Palm Springs Regional Flood Mitigation Project, which aims to upgrade the Whitewater River stormwater channel crossings at Indian Canyon, Gene Autry Trail, and Ramon Road.
  • $4 million for the La Quinta Highway 111 Resurfacing Project
  • $4 million for Calimesa’s County Line Road Project
  • $2 million for Camino Del Norte Lake Elsinore Infrastructure Improvements
  • The Interstate 10 & Cherry Valley Interchange Project in Calimesa will cost $2 million.
  • $3 million for the Lake Elsinore Homeless Facility Expansion Project
  • $2,005,961 for the Palm Springs Navigation Center Project
  • For the Lee Lake Wells Project, $4.7 million
  • $3 million for the project of the recycled water reservoir and booster station,
  • $2.3 million for the Water Booster Plant Improvements Project of the Eastern Municipal Water District
  • The Whitewater Channel Lining Project will cost $5 million.
